Tuition

Tuition for the Leopardi Writers Conference 2026 is $2,000.

Tuition includes:

  • Opening reception — On Sunday, July 12, 2026 participants will check in, meet the faculty, and have a short orientation and welcome reception.
  • Writing workshops led by renown authors — From Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17, 2026, participants will engage in group workshops led by renown authors. Each section (fiction, non-fiction, mystery/thriller, and late bloomers), will have separate workshops—one each day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Workshop sessions will run approximately three hours. Wednesday is a “free” day for exploring.
  • One-on-one editorial guidance — During the week, visiting faculty will also conduct one-on-one sessions providing editorial feedback on a sample of your work.
  • Panel discussions/readings — In the afternoons and evenings, there will be panel discussions on the craft from faculty as well as visiting publishing professionals.

Tuition does NOT include:

Travel to and from the conference, lodging, and meals are not included, and must be purchased separately by each participant.

The conference will be based at the Astoria hotel, with discounted rooms for participants, while available. Udine also has other reasonably priced hotels as well as rentals through AirBnB and VRBO.

Deposit & Fees:

After acceptance, a 50% nonrefundable deposit is required no later than April 1, 2026. The balance for the conference will be due on May 1, 2026. Deposits and conference fees are non refundable.  

 

Additional Opportunities

  • Literary Agent Pitch — For those interested, there will be an opportunity to pitch to our visiting Distinguished Literary Agents for a fee of $100 (to help cover the cost of our visiting agents).
  • Excursions — For those interested, the conference will offer two small excursions to experience the local culture of the region as well as transportation for a day-trip to Venice on Wednesday’s “free” day.
